 | been chased by collectors agency over credit card debt (modified 0 times) | stressful debtor | |
| i have a credit card debt with 3 different banks of which i'm totally unable to make any payment. total debt is around rm 10k per bank.i've been issued with 2 summons to attend a hearing; failing which a judgement order will be taken against me. i ignored both summons. what will happen to me? will i go to jail for ignoring a summons? will i go to jail if i cant settle the debt?
now the bank's collectors agency is calling me like non stops as early as 7 am in the morning. some threatened to talked to my supervisor. so i decided not to take any calls from them. then they sent me "threatening" sms. its not that i dont want to pay. if i have the money i'll sure pay my debt. can the collectors agency actually threatening customers to such level?
i received a credit card statement recently asking to pay full amount. i'm holding a gold card, but in the statement did mentioned i hold a platinum card. my question is can bank really change the card type without our consent?
i feel very stressful with this whole situations. sometimes when i hold a few red notes, how i wish if it was actually a thousand USD notes so i could if not all at least half of my debt | |

hi SD,
UR QUEST ;"i ignored both summons. what will happen to me? will i go to jail for ignoring a summons? will i go to jail if i cant settle the debt?"
asnwer : its not criminal matters. Its civil matters n in civil u can be made bankrupt if ur debt 30K n abov. In event u ignore d summons, judgment might be entered vs. u in d 1st date of mention. based on judgment, bank can proceed for execution in order to get their money back. regards,
