Hope some one can provide a way what should i do no....
I have own a bank in 2004 and since that time i did not received any legal letter from the bank (maybe due to i shifted). now in 2012, i received a call from a debt collector firm claim that they are acting on behalf of the bank to collect the total amount (priciple and interest) RM26xxx. thay want me to paythe amount before end of Feb, if not the bank will takke action against me. my question is :
1) can the bank still take legal action against me since it more then 6years ?
2) dun know is true or not, i undestand that the bank have to stop caluculate the interest after a certain year ? is it true?
3) if the bank really lost their right to take legal action on me since it more the six year, what can i do to stop the debt collector to keep on disturb me... they threaten they will come to my work place or home to embrass me....... can i report the case to BN or police?
4) if the bank have already get the judgement agaisnt me before the six years time over.... y they still want to appoint the debt collector to collect from me?
5) normally will the bank back up the debt collect if i take action agianst the debt collector?

hope some one can really give me a constructive view on my matter urgently will be much appreciate.

thank a lot.

Normally No.

After 6 years, interest stops.

3) if the bank really lost their right to take legal action on me since it more the six year, what can i do to stop the debt collector to keep on disturb me... they threaten they will come to my work place or home to embarrass
me....... can i report the case to BN or police?
Visiting and embarrassing people is not a crime. You can report but the police will do nothing.

4) if the bank have already get the judgement against me before the six years time over.... y they still want
to appoint the debt collector to collect from me?
Because they still want to try their luck at collecting something.

5) normally will the bank back up the debt collect if i take action against the debt collector?
What kind of action? No.

BNM is too busy for such things.
Bank is the one asking debt collector to embarras you.

Legally now you owe nothing to the bank if they did not sue earlier.
Six year is based from the date they suspended your credit card.
