Need some advices

New MessageNeed some advices (modified 0 times) Ginny
I just found out that i've been sued by bank on 2004 due to credit card. And my last payment for the cc was on 2001 (my credit limit was 4k). I read fr this forum saying that the interest charges shall be waived after six years they sued me, am i right? Should i call the bank asking for the settlement amount and settle it if the amount is not too high? Pls advise, i do not know what to do! The collector agency called me last year but they asking me to pay 20k, i don have that money but i'm trying to negotiate with them asking deduce to few thousand, they said impossible. Hope someone can advice, please and thanks!

After 6 years, the judgment the bank obtained against you cannot be used anymore without permission from the Court. So technically you owe them nothing now.
If you pay them any partial amount now, the bank will get another 6 years to make you bankrupt.
Just ignore the debt collector.

Take care.
