My boyfriend can't afford to pay all the outstanding credit card :(

New MessageMy boyfriend can't afford to pay all the outstanding credit card :( (modified 0 times) Survivor
Hi Sir & Mdm,
I do really need a legal advice on my boyfriend's current situation. He's really got a very bad spending habits and end up like this. He feels regret and he's in lost now. I would like to seek for your help.

1) He's owing 4 bankers (Ambank, EON Bank, AEON, CIMB) on credit cards @ around RM10K....Two bankers already issued him a lawyer letter. He can't even pay for the mininum amount for the 4 cards for 2~3 mths 'coz he's trying to settle the outsider debts first @ about RM10K as well. May I know if he's keep on ignoring on the lawyer letter what is the next action will thes bank be taken? What hall he do now? How shall he approach the bank for negotiation? Will the bank sue him for bankruptcy on this amount (Total @ approx. RM10K)? He's working in overseas, if being sued for bankruptcy, can he still carry on to work in overseas?

2) He's getting two personal loans from two local banks, and he can't even afford to pay the monthly amount for about 3 months as well. The total sum of owing on the personal loan is about RM6000 + RM 6000(pay in two years & 5 years respectively). Can we negotitiate with bank to lower the interest rate or pay them in longer period? How to deal with the banker?

3) Owing for the car installments for 3 mths...and the bank is start to taking action. If the car being pulled back, shall he need to pay for any charges incurred? If he'd like to give up the car, can he just give up like that.
It's 2 years old car, we have to top up for few thousands if we want to sell it. What is the best advice?

4) We did bought a house (with my name & his name) two years ago, the project has been delayed and it's only 25% completion. If he's being sued for bankuptcy, what is the impact to this house as he got 50% share on it? We're getting 90% loan from the bank. I'm paying for the house instalment now monthly on time.

Can you please kindly advise what is the next step shall we do? WE're really in the lost.....

Thanks for yor help.
