New MessageBankcruptcy (modified 0 times) Joseph
Can someone help me with this bankruptcy scenario ? I got a friends who was sued bankcrupt 20 years ago after failing to pay debts when he was business partner in a company. He was also a guarantor for the company. Now 20 years already passed, i am interested to know whether
1) if he is still under bankcruptcy status ? If he still is, how can he release from bankrupcty ? Please kindly advice.
2) he will automatically free from bankruptcy charges after 5 to 6 years ?

I am looking forward for your reply. Thank you.

I advise you to check with the Insolvency Department Malaysia
on how to apply for release from bankruptcy. This dept is the "Official Assignee"
and the correct dept where bankrupts need to report to upon bankruptcy.

Below is the headquarter of Jabatan Insolvensi Malaysia.
There are many branches in most states. There is one in KL
and also one in Shah Alam, Selangor.
