Default payment of Credit Card

Default payment of Credit CardDefault payment of Credit Card (modified 0 times) Myra
Good morning sir,

I failed to pay my credit card outstanding balance of RM14K. Recently i received a call from court saying that my name will be sent to Bank Negara and soon will be black listed. After that they will make arrangement with my employment to get 70% of my salary (directly deducted) to repay the debt monthly. Do they allowed to do this? If yes then what should i do. For you info. i failed to comply with the AKPK repayment schdule and my total outstanding debt to other bank is RM40K.

Dear Myra,

As long as there is no lawyer or court letter in black and white,
there is nothing to worry. Sometimes, calls from so-called "court"
or "legal authority" may be a bull-####s to threaten debtors to
pay up! They use these tactics to scare people!! The next time you
receive a call, ask for the person full IC name and number before
entertaining him/her and if they give false information, file a serious
complaint against the person at the police station and bank negara
for threatening debtors with false information.

Hello,
I have the same problem as mentioned above. I need to understand the legality of the collection agency procedure. A collection agency (Kudrat Partners & Co to be specific) had called me and told that they're acting on behalf of a bank and were asked to take legal action against me. The reason why is that I have defaulted credit card payment to the bank amounting RM7k since October 2009 (4 months). They are threatening me to send court order by 7 days if I can't make a full payment by the same dateline. My question is, are they authorize to do so? They have forced me to sign an agreement which I have to make a full payment in 7 days or else.

Regards,
Roy.

They are not lawyers, why would the bank ask them to take legal action against you?
Ask them to go fly kite.

Yes, the guy explained that he is not a lawyer. But he told me that the bank already agreed to pay them about RM4k as part of their legal fee (should their lawyer start to file their case). Btw, the person who call me explained that he is negotiating before the real legal action shall be pursuit. I was keen to avoid any legal action against me and I hope I don't have to face one. The person also told me that it was a rare case for bank to actually chase for default payment below than rm10k. So, should I be worry?

If the bank sue you, he get zero commissions.
So why he keep talking nonsense about legal actions.
He just want to to keep paying so he can get his percentage.
Just hang up the phone.

Kudrat Partners & Co is just a debt collection agency. They try to scare people into paying.

I agree with VKPC, just hang up!

Once you default your payment more than 2 months your name will be blacklisted automaticly as all bank system link directly into BNM credit system, called CRISS. So what the guy told you is just bull#### , they just want your money to recover the Bank's loan

I hv got lots of calls & missed calls from that same same guy from kudat "pundeh" agency (sry for my language as i'm darn ####ed off by the guy who called). Feels like wanna change my phone number alrdy lol. FYI i just owed Maybank RM2K plus unpaid Credit card only... unable to pay as my income is only a few hundred now, just enough for 3 meals... sometimes i wondering, does the bank really need the RM2K+ soo soo desperately? or they are gonna bankrupt or what? go to hell, go#### bankers, yes we owe you credit card payment, because we were stupid we were ignorant, we were conned by ur evil creditcard promoters into signing the CC application form & the evil promoters promised us heaven & earth, cashback, gifts, points, spend more save more bull####~ coz u r so sure that we stupid & ignorant ppl sure will overspend coz we never learnt any financial planning in school(which is also very ironic that school dont teach us the most important topics in life) there's so many things i wanna say, and vent my frustration.
