On Bank Acct, EPF & application for P/port (with purpose to work) (modified 0 times) LH59 I am very tired aft being given the run-around and "not sure answers fr my OA. So, please...............can anyone just tell me if I can open a bank account to facilitate my employer to bank in my salary? How do I go about it? Will JIM step in, freeze the acct and thereby disallowing me to w/draw my salary? Can I withdraw 30% fr my EPF now tt I'm 50 yrs old? I certainly need the miserable amount! And also, can I contribute to EPF if I get a job? I read enough from this forum to know tt JIM CANNOT touch my EPF but my OA tells me a different story and according to her "The laws hv changed". What's the job of the OA? I asked mine to help write to my creditor to appeal to reduce my debts so tt I can repay rm700 x 72mths. She told me tt I've to write to them myself and CC to JIM. I mean...........what are they for if I've to do everything myself? there's so much I want to tell you people of my mtg with my OA but each time I think of the mtg, it angers and saddens me to remember their 'tidak apa' attitude and their not so sure answers! Today my hubby call the OA and his told that my letter to bank should ready this friday. Your salary through with bank? So far only mbb to concern about banckruptcy status. I was banckrupt since 2004 and don't know my status until may 2009. I'm start working back since jan 2008 and still can open cimb acc without any difficulty and on jun 2008 i get better offer and my employer use RHB acc. If your salary through that bank, you has to get a letter from JIM to re activate the account and tell them for salary purpose. If different bank, you just go to the bank and open the account. No need to tell them about your banckruptcy status. Just act as a normal person. I have a brother who working at CIMB. According to him, CIMB never check the status if you want to open saving account and only do checking if you want to open current account. 28 Jan, 2010 23:18:44

I can easily take out all my salary. I also have PBB acc since 1998 but they not freeze my acc eventhough I was declare as banckrupt in 2004 and still can use until now. But I'm still play safe when the salary go in to account, I will withdraw and put in to my sister account (the account open for me to use). I think only MBB to consent about banckruptcy status. Anyhow I already have a letter from JIM last friday to give approval open the mbb acc. no choice my new job, my salary got in to MBB acc. But they restricted us only for salary purposes. Meaning that every month only 1 transaction fund bank in to the account. if have another bank in they will automatically cancell the transaction. I think that good enough. As i stepped into hse, this guy fr JIM came with a letter tt I hv to sign acknowledgement. Says I hv to go JIM on a certain date to attend 'MESYUARAT PERTAMA BAGI PEMIUTANG2". nOW, can anyone tell me what this is all about? Thought I've already met up with the OA?? sign all the papers and started re-paying monthly??? What's this first meeting about?? And I'm worried coz I just open the acct. So you just say cannot because have to pay rent, milk powder, school fees, clothes etc. It's unrelated to the cimb account.
