EPF and Socso for External Worker

New MessageEPF and SOCSO (modified 0 times) confuse

I have mistakenly posted this question in the employment law session. Reposting this. Sorry for any inconvenience caused

My company have engaged a group of external worker (as installer and cleaner at customer's manufacturing site). These workers are paid by daily wages and as agreed upon engagement (verbally), they will only earn daily wages with OT, no EPF and no SOCSO. Recently, one of the worker have requested for the company to contribute EPF and SOCSO. My question is:-
1. Who are the workers that are entitled for EPF and SOCSO?
2. Are these external workers entitled for EPF and SOCSO?
3. Is our verbal agreement on not providing EPF and SOCSO valid?

Also, we do not mind contributing the workers' EPF and SOCSO if it is required by the law. But, how can we go about this as our company has been in operation for many years.

Please assist.
