 | bank withheld bonuses (modified 0 times) | mikey | |
|
My wife works as a senior manager for one of the top banks in Malaysia. Recently she found that she was not paid her bonus when most of her collegues got theirs. From her enquiring of the matter, she was told that those staff with pending investigation will have their bonuses withhold. There was no indication of her being on any case pending as she did not received any show cause letters, being caution or any verbal or written warning given. She did not fall into any catagories that the bank's MD instruction on the guiding pricipals for bonus payment. Yet she was discriminated on her bonus due. She had written to the MD with regards to the matter but was told by her superior that it wasn't right on her part to do so and it may jeopadize her position in the bank. Imaging this, for bringing up the matter to the big boss is WRONG. I always thought we have an open door concept for the "boss - employee" in the current era as Malaysia is a developing country opened to international corporate standard. The bank also did not take the appropriate action and due diligent before reprimading it's employees. I hope someone and espeacially any legal beagal who be able to advise on how my wife can fight for her principles and bonus due rightfully to her. Thank you mikey | |
