Dear Lawyerment

I write to you hoping that you could shed some light as to my concern.

I am currently receiving SOCSO Permanent Disability Pension. My monthly pension is insufficient to cover my monthly household expenses. Given that situation, in order to earn more income, I decided to start my own business.

Question No. 1:
My predicament starts here: I wanted to start a Sdn Bhd company where I will be the shareholder and director. If I were to start earning income (earning income = dividend and salary) from my business; Will SOCSO terminate my Permanent Disability Pension?

Question No. 2:
If SOCSO were to terminate my Permanent Disability Pension (once I receive earning income) and if my business fails - then I will be ending up with zero income. It will be a nightmare for me and my family.

What should I do? Could you please advise me?

Looking forward to your feedback and advise.

Thanking you in advance

Regards
nhk
