Warning letter
Unreasonable warning letter issued

hello,

i am very unhappy with the benifit and treatment that my company treat the employees...

My company working hours is 9am to 5.30pm , and all we know the company can issue the warning letter if the employee come in late . The problem is about one year ago, the company has isssued a memo saying that the employee who come in late should replace back the time after working hour and all of us had signed as acknowledgement .Since then , all of us has been practice that.Now few of my colleagues received the warning later because they come in late. And there is no further Memo has been issued to void the previous one.

My question is , is the company has right to issue the warning letter in this case. We all just feel unfair to this matter. We need your professional advice and hope your feedback soon. Thanks

first of all, you have to get one things straight which is as an employee, you are require to come in on time as what the company required. The company had all the reason to proceed puishment either in the form of verbal warning, written warning or even pay deduction to late-comers. Although your company did issue memo in regards to this matter but please bear in mind that its not compulsory or officially telling you guys that from the dated memo, all personnel can come late as long as they replace the hour lost. The reason for the memo is a leniency provided by the company to ensure the amount of money you bring home every month without having to undergone the cruel cut of deduction but sadly to say, from what i can see, you guys are taking advantage of the whole situation and start whinning like a baby because being issued warning letter for the immaturity shown.
I think the best solution for your problem is to do some soul searching and start to had some excellent planning on how not to be late anymore instead of whinning like an immatured goose.
