Hi,

Need some help. My girlfriend worked for an event company(Scope Event Ventures) last year around september. it was a job for promoting maxis broadband.
She worked for around 2 weeks replacing a girl who had pulled out. When it came to payment for the job she was told that it would be made about 3 months after the job. it is now june and she has not been paid yet. its quite a substantial amount. She has tried to call the person in charge of her payment and the person has not picked up her calls and only will sms her and keeps on telling her that her cheque should be ready in a few weeks. this has been his response since last january. i've tried to call him and he has not answered my calls either. is there anything that can be done? problem is my gf did not sign any contract when she did the job( freelance job). she is not sure if there was a timesheet or any proof that she worked for them during that period but im guessing that the event company will have a record because Maxis would need some proof before they issue payment to this event company.

Thanks for any advice given.
