Time Executor should discharge his/her duties

Time Executor should discharge his/her dutiesTime Executor should discharge his/her duties (modified 0 times) confused
Hi, could someone advise me if the executors are required to discharge their duties to the beneficiaries within a certain time even if properties need to be sold in order to do this. My friend's father passed away 6 years ago and she is still waiting for her share of the inheritance as the eldest sibling/executor insisted she could not have her share as the money is tied up in unsold properties. What could my friend do?

Many thanks

Call for a meeting of all siblings and decide to sell all the properties.

Unsold for what reason? For market reason? That can't be helped; For reasons because beneficiaries can't agree? Then file into court and majority wins. I am not sure of the timeline to discharge but must do so expediently. Depends on the reason.
