 | my child? (modified 0 times) | hun101 | |
I knew a girl for years and she work in another state. We meet about once per week. She delivered a baby and told me that belongs to me. She confessed to me now that she is married and has not enough money to hire lawyer for divorce. That is why the new born baby birth cert having the 'husband's name as father.
Now, I am not sure whether to trust her or not. I want to know:
1. How to know if the baby really belongs to me? The father name in birth cert is the 'husband'! Is there any hospital will do test on that?
2. If the baby really belongs to me, but the father name is not me now. Is it possible to have the father name to become my name?
Tks. | |

| DNA test is possible if she consents to it.
Changing the name on the certificate may be more difficult. That I can't advice since I am not familiar with that. If all else fails you can adopt the child. | |
