My Son was born in Hong kong and now 6 mths old, I am malaysian but my husband is Hong Kong citizen.
As we are planning to stay in Malaysia for the baby studying at KL, how my baby can apply the citizenship in Malaysia?
Should I apply in Hong Kong Malaysian Embassy or in KL, Malaysia?
Please advise.
Thanks | |

| You should notify and register your child's birth at the Malaysian High Commission in HK. If not mistaken, you have only few months after birth to register baby as a malaysian, otherwise lose the chance forever | |

| You should register your son at the Malaysian Embassy or High Commission in HK as soon as possible.
Your son can follow you to travel to Malaysia by adding his personal particulars into your Malaysian Passport.
You can apply for PR for him in Malaysia, not in Hong Kong.

Dear Sir,
Contacted with Malaysian Embassy, they said that my son can register as Malaysian as the new law/regulation effective 1/1/2010. Which mentions that even father is not a malaysian, baby is eligle to appy and register as malaysian but they request me that the endorsed letter to Hong Kong govenment must be signed for give up chinese nationality.
However, let me think about it! Pls advise.
