what would happen if:

the single mother (Christian) wants to put the father name in the baby birth cert but he is a muslim (british citizenship) and they are not married? is that possible? the mother name still remain christian? or the baby has to be registered muslim??

Yes, it is possible to put his name in baby's Birth Cert..

Mother's religion may remain.

Baby's religion free choice with Alien Father, not under the jurisdiction or control of the Malaysian Religious Body.

How if the father is in the UK and unable to be around for birth registration? as JPN allows only 14days for baby to be registered..can the mother registers his name on baby's birth cert without his attendance?
