If both of you are getting married in Malaysia and he intends to stay in Malaysia then, it is better for you to convert into Islamic religion, for the good of your Children in future.

If you don't intend to reside in Malaysia then there's no need to register right? Just have your wedding, and enjoy the rest of your life together.

If you insist on registering in Malaysia, then you'll need to gather a whole bunch of his documents (you can find out which docs from Jabatan Pendaftaran Negara) AND you'll need to convert. All these before you can register your marriage in Malaysia. As long as you're marrying a muslim in Malaysia, whether or not he's a foreigner, you HAVE to convert. Malaysia does not recognise a marriage between a muslim and non-muslim.
