New MessageRE:How to get my girl friend to stay in Malaysia (modified 0 times) Vince
Firstly, she should Immediately apply for extension of her Visit Pass before Expiry Date (10 days left by now) to avoid Stay Problem.

If you were serious about marriage, then, do it and get your Marriage Certificate.

Then, apply for Dependent's Pass before the Expiry of her "Extended" Visit Pass or "Special" Pass (whichever may be given by sole discretion of Immigration Dept.).

It does not matter which or any State you are living in, the same procedures and laws remain in the Whole of Malaysia.

New Messagedependant pass (modified 0 times) Stan
I have registered with my girl friend and gotten our marriage certification in malaysia. She went back to Hong Kong recently and planning to come back in march. In order for her to stay in malaysia for a longer period, she was adviced to apply for dependant pass. i have read that applicants from china need to apply for visa with reference prior to entry but my wife is holding a British passport so does she need a visa with reference?
if needed, how long will the application process take?
and do i have to apply for both the visa and dependant pass in damansara?
is dependant pass the best way for her to stay in malaysia?
