 | Car accident involving stolen car (modified 0 times) | NEWY | |
| Hi,
I met in an accident 2 months ago and I was informed by the police that I can make a injury claim against the other party. However, I later found out that it was a stolen car and I was informed the insurance company of the other party will most likely reject my claim even the car was insured. Is that true ? Please advise. | |

| of course not! you cannot choose the vehicle that will cause you harm. you cannot tell the vehicle, "are you stolen? because if you are , then you cannot injure me." this is just silly. go tell your insurer that. lol. | |

| Yes, most car or truck insurance company would deny payment of injuries if the car or truck had been stolen and it was not the car owner -- who is the one paying for the insurance premiums -- who got into an accident with you. You know how insurance companies can get, and if they find a loophole, they will deny your claims. | |
