| How can i check if the brand name i have will not coincide with someone globally? Is there a instituition who does the checking for us? Any website that provides the search?
If my brand for selling a shirt is Tristan and somebody brand in overseas was also the same but different product or services such as Design Firm , can i get myself into hot soup | |

You should check with the Intellectual Property Corp of Msia, Trade Marks Section at http://www.mipc.gov.my/ I think they are still in Menara Dayabumi.
They keep a register of trademarks already registered by businesses for use on their goods/services. You may need to pay a small fee to search.
NB search is only for marks registered in Malaysia. For foreign marks you may need to enlist help of foreign trademark attorneys. Remember , you will be infringing if Tristan is already registered by someone else. | |

| You could not have a property if you are not intellectual. Stealing someone name like tristan is same as my friend make microsoft windows and rolex and make a lot of money. He is not even intellectual.
My advice just make money first. then ask lawyer to defend you better. Who is going to catch you? if tristan is in UK you think he is interested in your T shirt? just mind your own business. | |
