Although certain patterns of saying or writing something looks or sounds familiar and seems copyright reserved, but actually copyright is only a legal way of threatening other people of a Owner's Right.

Many people still can argue endlessly on such topic as they like until Thy Kingdom Come.

The fact is people all around the World use Common Words, Structure of Sentences and Languages that many others seem to be copying from each other.

The Shirt that you are wearing is so Common and also look similar to another fellow's, so everyone can sue someone. There is no end to such argument.

If you are not copying Everything Exactly from the Printed Materials, there should not be any infringement of right.

Thanks for the comments. some may argue a quote can be copyrighted. If i come out a book contain 1,000 quotes from famous people, then i have to get this 1,000 people permission or payment to put their quote; and i am not sure how original is the quote is from them, those people may be get the quote from somewhere else? this is what i think. may be there are other view too?

If you use known quotes attributed and acknowledged as being the works of others who have copyrighted their title to it, then you will be in breach of copyright if you reprinted or used it without prior permission.

Some quotes are phrases or extracts of famous poems, songs, extracts of well known publications, thesis, and works of academia.

If in the course of describing how a wmoan is reacting after being jilted by use of the famous quote "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned" and you do not attribute that to Shakespear you may be singing falsetto if they caught you.

The same for using words like "You can only negotiate from a position of strength' MK Gandhi or "There is nothing more powerful than an idea whose time has come" also MK Gandhi. Thes era the proprietry works of others and someone who has copyrighed it has a right to recognition for use of teir property.

Beware you understand the value in these quotes for it can be disasterous for you to be ignorant of such wisdom. " He who knows not what he knows not is a fool" . On the other hand "He who knows what he knows not is a wise man".
