You can only file for a divorce after 2 years from your date of marriage registration.

If your husband refuses a divorce, you can file for single divorce petition. Do note that doing so will be more time consuming. Legal fees will also be costlier. You have to prove that your marriage irretrievably broken down with the reason either your husband has committed adultery or both of you are leaving apart for more than 2 years.

Legal fee depends on the complexity of your case.

If you and your husband agree to a divorce, you can file for divorce by mutual consent which will be cheaper than a single divorce petition.

If you file for single divorce petition and your husband contested the arrangement of child custody, maintenance and assets, the legal fee will be even higher.

You can consult few lawyers before deciding on which lawyer to appoint.
