 | We quarrel everytime we talked (modified 0 times) | Help! | |
| Me and my husband married for almost 2 years. Recently we have communication problems and we keep on quarrel non stop even when we talked on the phone. I think it's kinda hard for us to continue the relationship as both of us might torture ourselve in the end. We will have no ending revenge with each other and I do not want this kind of marriage life. I need an advice as in where to engage a trustworthy lawyer to handle the divorce case and how soon it can get over. I assume my husband would agree to file for divorcy as he did agreed with my suggestion before. Need your sincere advice. | |

Hello there,
if your husband is agreeable to the divorce, you can apply for divorce by way of joint petition. You would have to be married (registered) for at least 2 years.
this procedure is cheaper and faster than going for a contested divorce. A divorce by way of joint petition in KL usually takes between 6 - 8 months (from the date of the client signing all the relevant papers).
Hope this is helpful.
