Setting up a Non Profit Organization in Malaysia
Setting up a Non Profit Organization in Malaysia

New MessageSetting up a Non Profit Organization in Malaysia (modified 0 times) Renee Wong

I would like to set up a "match-making" organization for volunteers and charities, and would greatly appreciate any advice on how to go about setting up a charity NPO in Malaysia.

Is it any different from how I would set up a normal company? And would / should I apply for Pioneer status?

Any help would be greatly appreciated (even if it's just to point me where to go look for this sort of information).
Thanks in Advance,

Noble intentions indeed. With the young caught in the rat race and the traditional match-making thru parents/friends/relatives is virtually non-existent your plans should help in getting the parties to meet.A lot of work is involved though as you obviously would have to separate the fraud from the genuine and it is no easy task.Where is yr money to come from if you are an NGO.The other option is to form a business either sole proprietor or a limited company.
To form an NGO as a society you need to register with the Registrar of Societies.
goodluck to you.
