Unit Pemantauan Pelaksanaan Negeri, Jabatan Ketua Menteri Sarawak
Commonly known as the State Implementation Monitoring Unit (SIMU), Sarawak Chief Minister's Department in English. SIMU was established in November 2000 and was entrusted to monitor and evaluate the implementation of all approved state funded development projects under the 8MP (2001-2005. The scope and areas of responsibilities assigned to SIMU has expanded. On November 25, 2004, Special Projects Unit (SPrU) was merged into SIMU to strengthen the implementation and monitoring and to rectify the shortcomings.

Unit Perancang Negeri, Jabatan Ketua Menteri Sarawak
Also known as the State Planning Unit (SPU), Sarawak Chief Minister's Department in English. Established on March 6, 1972 under the auspices of the Chief Minister's Office. The main function of SPU is to formulate the State socio-economic development policies and priorities at the macro, sectoral and regional level, especially in the formulation and review of the State Five Years Development Plan inline with the national development agenda, and thus to formulate allocation distribution based on such policies and priorities through close cooperation with the State ministries and agencies (especially with the State Financial Office).
