Majlis Perbandaran Ampang Jaya (MPAJ)
Also known as the Ampang Jaya Municipal Council in English. Ampang Jaya, sometimes known as Ampang Selangor after the partitioning of Ampang for the creation of the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur is the smallest mukim in the Hulu Langat district, Selangor. Ampang Jaya consists of 12 kampungs (villages) namely Kampung Melayu Ampang, Kampung Tasik Permai, Kampung Tasik Tambahan, Kampung Ampang Campuran, Kampung Ampang Indah, Kampung Pandan and Kampung Cheras Baru. Ampang Jaya, Setapak and Ulu Kelang are under the administration of MPAJ. Majlis Perbandaran Ampang Jaya (MPAJ) was established on July 1, 1992. It is responsible for public health and sanitation, waste removal and management, town planning, environmental protection, building control, social and economic development and general maintenance functions of urban infrastructure.

Majlis Perbandaran Kajang (MPKj)
Also known as the Kajang Municipal Council in English. Mukims under the administration of MPKj are Kajang, Cheras, Semenyih, Beranang, Hulu Langat and Hulu Semenyih except Mukim Ampang. Kajang is a mukim (subdistrict) in Hulu Langat district, Selangor.

Majlis Perbandaran Klang (MPK)
Also known as the Klang Municipal Council in English. Established in 1890 as the Klang Sanitary Board (Lembaga Kesihatan Klang). The Board was renamed the Klang Town Board (Lembaga Bandaran Klang) in 1945 and the Klang Town Council (Majlis Bandaran Klang) in 1954. Pelabuhan Klang, Kapar and Meru were added to the administration areas of the Council and the Council was renamed the Klang District Council (Majlis Daerah Klang). The District Council was upgraded to a Municpal Council and renamed the Klang Municipal Council (Majlis Perbandaran Klang) on January 1, 1977.

Majlis Perbandaran Selayang (MPS)
Also known as the Selayang Muncipal Council in English. Established as Majlis Daerah Gombak, MDG (Gombak District Council) under the Local Government Act 1976, Act 171 as a result of the State Government reconstruction to upgrade the status of local authorities namely, Lembaga Bandaran Gombak, Lembaga Bandaran Rawang, Lembaga Bandaran Kuala Ampang, Taman Keramat PKNS Area and Batu Caves Industrial Area. Majlis Daerah Gombak was renamed Majlis Perbandaran Selayang (MPS) on January 1, 1997. The 3 mukims (subdistricts) under the administration of MPS are Rawang, Batu and Setapak.
