Ex MBF now Ambank Credit Card Debt

I have a bad debt for my mbf credit (now ambank) which amount around RM5k in 1997. Now I try to nego with the ambank staff wish to pay RM6k to settle the debt and clear my name from CCRIS or CTOS. Bank refuse to accept the amount propose because they said my debt is now RM200K ++
How i gonna do now. Can the bank take further action against me since the debt was over 12 years?

Today 23 Mac 2012, The bank called and offer me to make full settlement RM12K and release me and they refused to take my offer of RM6K
should I just ignored them or appeal for the RM6K

mdsyza, you are so generous, bank can't take action against you anymore but you still want to pay them.

I still want to pay them coz want to clear my name from cctos and ccris. When it cleared, I want to proceed with my housing loan.
