For a small amounts less than 10K, no need to go to court.
Just ignore the "law firms" that call you up, they are not law firms but debt collectors.
They definitely can't freeze your other banks accounts.
Hang up the phone when you hear their voice.

Don't make anymore payments. After 6 years, it's over they can't even take your TV.

By law they can "pakat" together to make you a bankrupt.
But in reality, they have never done this before.
So why you worry?

Just pay one or two cards that you choose, so you can continue using credit cards.
The rest don't pay.  After a while, they will stop calling you.

One way to minimize collection agents to call you is:

(1) When they call, identify the caller coming from where.
(2) Ask them the main reason for calling
(3) If they are collection agents representing the respective banks,
just say, "YOU ARE BUSY NOW. PLS CALL BACK AFTER 6pm".
(4) Chances are that they won't call back as most have to go home.

Sometimes, you may want to talk to them and they are always asking
you to pay how much you can or legal action will be taken. If you find
lost of words to say, just say, "YOU ARE FILING FOR BANKRUPTCY IF
NO CHOICE AND ASK THEM TO WAIT FOR YOUR BANKRUPTCY NOTICE". In return,
they will find hard to talk to u further. They may say, "SO YOU ARE
NOT GOING TO PAY". Answer back,"IF YOU CAN PAY, YOU WOULD PAY. IF NO CHOICE,
YOU WILL FILE FOR BANKRUPTCY". They would find it very difficult to discuss
with you further on the debt matter.

TRY IT AND YOU WILL KNOW THAT IT DOES HAVE SOME EFFECTS TO A GREAT EXTENT.
