Akta Pengambilan Tanah Seksyen 32(2) APT 1960

Hi there,

Can anyone confirm that the "Bayaran denda lewat 8% setahun" under the APT 1960 akta pengambilan tanah is counted as simple interest or compound interest?

example : For 2 years of late payment penalty , simple interest is (8% + 8%)= 16% only
          but for compounded interest method is (16.64%).

This make a lot of different if the period is 10 years. Simple interest is 80% , compound interest is about 216%.
