How do I download a software on Lawyerment?

If you are new to downloading from the Internet, please follow the simple steps:

  1. Create a Download Folder

You can skip this step if you have a download folder.

We would recommend you to create a New folder or directory on your hard drive for temporary files, before you begin downloading. You can name it My Downloads or Downloads for example.

    Windows

    • Click the Start button. Then select My Documents.
    • Select the File menu option.
    • Select New, then Folder.
    • When the folder called New Folder is created, you can renamed it My Downloads or Downloads by right clicking your mouse and select Rename.

  2. Searching for Software

To find a software to download on Lawyerment, you can browse our categories or use our search feature to find a software that suits your needs.

After you've chosen the software, the next step will be clicking on the Download button where you'll be redirected to the download page.

Click on your selected download link.

  3. Downloading with:
    1. Firefox

When you begin downloading a file, the Downloads button will flash green-blue to alert you when you begin downloading a file.

Click the Downloads button to show your three most recently downloaded files in a small panel.

During downloads, the arrow icon changes into a time bar that shows your download's progress.

Once a file has finished downloading, the icon to the right of the file entry becomes a folder. Click the folder icon to open the folder that contains that file.

If you didn't change your default download location, then Firefox downloads files to the following locations:

      • Windows XP: \Documents and Settings\<username>\My Documents\Downloads
      • Windows Vista/Windows 7/Windows 8: \Users\<username>\Downloads
      • Mac: /Users/<username>/Downloads
      • Linux: home\<username>\Downloads

    2. Downloading with Internet Explorer

If you're downloading a file and the Save File dialog box appears, it it best to specify which folder you want to save the file to. This will save time later. If you're saving several files, Windows will normally remember the last folder you saved to, so you don't have to specify the folder again.

To find a file you have downloaded, click the Start button, and then click your username at the top of the Start menu's right pane. Next, double-click the Downloads folder.

    3. Downloading with Google Chrome

If you didn't change your default download location, then Google Chrome downloads files to the following locations:

      • Windows XP: \Documents and Settings\<username>\My Documents\Downloads
      • Windows Vista/Windows 7/Windows 8: \Users\<username>\Downloads
      • Mac: /Users/<username>/Downloads
      • Linux: home\<username>\Downloads

When you download a file in Google Chrome, you can keep an eye on its download progress in the downloads bar at the bottom of your tab. When the file is done downloading, just click its button to open it.
