Drug Wars - Underworld is an addictive game of buying and selling in a seedy underworld. It is an enhanced remake of the classic 1980's MS-DOS dope wars game. A variety of new twists and strategy are added.
You play the role of a street dealer. You start the game with a small amount of money and quickly growing debt to a loan shark. Your goal is simply to make as much money as possible in the time allowed.
You make money by buying and selling a variety of products. But things get more complicated. To fund your endeavor, you borrowed from loan shark and debt is growing by the day. You need cash fast to avoid a nasty run-in over a past due loan.
To make things more complicated, you need to fend off various gangs, mafia enforcers and cops. Many businessmen of the organized crime nature, won't stand to see you hanging out on the streets of their neighborhood and they'll be sure to let you know.
It takes strategy to win and make big scores. Simply buying and selling won't make you rich.
Character creation lets you tailor your character to fit your playing style. Banking options let you manage your money throughout the game. Gangs, mafia enforcers and cops try to derail you, but there are ways around that, including running, offering bribes, or fighting back (a non-violent combat style is enabled by default). Complete in-game statistics cover every detail of the game, and let you track your progress over time.
This free edition includes the standard 30-day length game, default location and can be played forever. Additional features are available to registered users, including a variety of lengths (15-day, 60-day, 90-day, 180-day and 365-day game), the ability to change cities, hire informants and thugs, use charts and graphs, and more.
