Notice: The MSJVM has reached its end of life on December 31, 2007. The MSJVM is not available for distribution from Microsoft. It is not being included in future Microsoft products.
The Microsoft SDK for Java 4.0 uses a new installation utility. After downloading the SDK, you can run this utility from your machine and select the components that you would like to install, including the SDK documentation.
The Microsoft SDK for Java 4.0 is the developer kit for the Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.01 environment. Tools, information, and samples are provided to help you develop Java programs and applets based on JDK 1.1 and the Microsoft Virtual Machine (Microsoft VM) optimized for the Microsoft Win32 API.
The SDK for Java installer no longer automatically downloads the Microsoft VM.
The latest version of the Microsoft VM (already included with Windows 2000) and classes must be downloaded separately.
